A video downloader that tells you the truth
SaveVideoss exists because the alternative was a sea of pop-up-laden sites promising 4K downloads of videos that were never uploaded in 4K.
Why we built it
Saving a video you are entitled to keep should be a ten-second job. In practice, searching for a downloader lands you on pages stacked with fake download buttons, forced redirects, and promises no backend could possibly honour. Several ask for the password to your social account, which is simply phishing with a friendly logo.
SaveVideoss is the opposite of that. One clean box, six platform-specific pages that explain the link formats each network uses, and clear answers when something cannot be processed. No interstitials, no countdowns, no bundled installers.
How the site works
You paste a link. The site recognises which platform it belongs to, works out what kind of post it points at — a Reel, a Pin, a Watch page — and tells you the formats available for it. If the link is a profile rather than a video, or the post is private, you are told that straight away instead of being sent in circles.
Everything the browser does is deliberately simple and transparent. The pages are statically rendered, the icons are inline SVG, and no third-party tracking script runs behind your back.
Where we draw the line
We do not build around private accounts, protected posts, paywalls or DRM. We do not store the links you paste. We do not pretend that downloading anything you like is always lawful, because it is not — the rules depend on the content, on the platform's terms and on where you live.
What we can do is give you an honest tool and enough context to make a sensible decision. That is the whole product.
Four principles we build to
They show up on every page, in the copy and in the code.
Say what is true
If a video was uploaded in 720p, no tool can hand you a real 1080p copy. We list the options that genuinely exist for your link and nothing else.
Ask for nothing
No account, no email address, no browser extension, no executable. A downloader that insists you install software first is a red flag, not a feature.
Respect creators
Every page says the same thing: save what you own or have permission to keep. We do not bypass private accounts, and we never will.
Stay fast
Statically rendered pages, self-hosted fonts, inline SVG icons and no tracking scripts. The site should feel instant on a mid-range phone.
Try it on a link you own
